Question: Do I have to buy a fancy heat press to use heat transfer vinyl?

Answer: No! While a heat press can be handy, your home iron will work great to apply any type of heat transfer vinyl. It’s important that no steam is used when applying vinyl to garments and that the steam holes are avoided when applying the vinyl as well. Head over to our heat settings page to make sure your iron is set to the proper temperature for application.

Question: The vinyl started peeling off my garment after it went through the wash. What do I do?

Answer: The manufacturer of our heat transfer vinyl is Siser North America. They have very specific instructions on how to wash your garments after the vinyl has been applied.

Question: Can I reapply heat to a garment that has already been washed?

Answer: Yes. If you would like to press down a corner that started to peel up after the wash feel free to do so. Just remember to use a piece of multipurpose paper or a Teflon sheet to protect the vinyl from the heat.
